Denpukuji Temple
– Temple of Fireflies –

Small paper lanterns are decorated from JR Tatsuno station to Matsuokyo
Valley, the home of fireflies. On the way there, a small and quiet temple
stands on the right after the grade crossing.
This temple is “Kudokuzan Denpukuji Temple”, which is called “Temple of
Fireflies”, famous for the power of matchmaking. It is a nice quiet spot to
pray for matchmaking secretly and the number of visitors has been
increasing in recent years.

If you seek a good match or cherish your partner, you can visit this temple
before or after watching fantastic fireflies. There is also Mantokuyo(a
memorial service with candle lights) at this temple.
